Composite Bonding is a popular minimally invasive cosmetic treatment, which can be used to improve your smile as an alternative to other cosmetic treatment options such as orthodontics, crowns and veneers.
A tooth coloured resin material is matched and then bonded directly to your tooth and hardened using a specific light, meaning that the treatment is usually completed in one session.
This advanced bonding technique can be used to repair chipped and broken teeth, to change the shape of a person’s tooth or as part of a smile makeover. The technique has increased in popularity recently as little or no drilling of tooth is required, whilst still producing a fantastic appearance.
Composite Bonding can be used to;
- Repair chipped or damaged teeth
- Close gaps between teeth
- Change tooth shapes as part of a smile makeover
- Repair cracked or fractured teeth
- Repair decayed teeth
- Build up worn teeth
- Protect exposed tooth roots
Although composite bonding will not last as long as veneers, they are cost-effective and can be repaired or re-polished as many times as required. If looked after with regular dental examinations, composite bonding can last 5-8 years.
